English school, 4 franchised kindergartens and an education publishing company. We are a ‘professional’ school with a very systematized approach to teaching, our own textbooks etc.
.....All our teachers must go through a training program which may be a bind for experienced teachers but will be a godsend for newcomers. We teach all the basic skills for helping kids learn English and in a practical way that is suited to 3 to 5 year olds.
.....We greatly respect our overseas teachers and understand the difficulties faced when coming to a new country, so we assign all new teachers with a ‘helper’ to settle you in and get you adjusted to the new city and new work.
.....However, we do have professional expectations of teachers and, just like kindergarten teachers in the West, you will find yourself making craft objects, things for the classroom, rewards for the kids and other such things in your own time, making teaching aids, singing and dancing, doing morning exercises, performing in plays, making costumes, helping individual kids outside lesson time, playing the piano (if you can), doing extracurricular activities and other such things. Most teachers actually love doing all this stuff and I promise they won’t take up too much of your time, but you will need to be a reasonably outgoing and expressive person. If you get easily embarrassed or are scared of clowning around with kids this is not the job for you.
.....All our kindergartens are located in the southern or Western area of Chengdu itself and may be called ‘middle or high class’ kindergartens, which means they are aimed at white collar workers and above, so working conditions and school conditions are better than average and the food is pretty good too.
.....During the process of employment we will tell you which of the schools you will probably go to, which will be worked out through mutual discussion of the school's and your personal needs. Below is a rough map of where the schools are; a couple of the Western schools are a few kilometers outside town and can't be shown on the map that easily.

Quantuo

The Boarding Center is the first of Golden Apple's schools and was established in 1993. They have 8classes, one or two foreign teachers and 3 Chinese English teachers |
Zongnan

Zongnan is our Montessori school and was established in 1997. They have 7 classes, one foreign teacher and 3 Chinese English teachers |
Zongbei

Zongbei was established in 2000 and is our main English teaching school. They have 5 classes, each of which has a foreign teachers and Chinese English teacher. |
Eldo

Eldo is a relatively small school in a pleasant residential area. They have 6 classes, 1 foreign teacher and two Chinese English teachers. |
Zhonghai

Zhonghai was established in 2001. It is a big school in very nice area. They have10 classes with 1 foreign teacher and 3 Chinese English teachers. |
Jingguan

Jingguan is a smaller school also in a noce area of town. They have 7 classes, 1 foreign teacher and 2 Chinese English teachers |
Chengdu Gardens

Chengdu Gardens is our largest school. They have 13 classes and either 1 full-time or 2 part time foreign teachers, as well as 2 Chinese English teachers. |
Jiulixi

Jiulixi is in the Northwest of Chengdu but not too far from the main city. They have 8 classes, 1 foreign teacher and 3 Chinese English teachers. |
Xiqu

Xiqu is about 12 km West of Chengdu and about 30 - 40 minutes from the city center. They have a part-time foreign teacher that is shared with Zhonghai international school and have 2 Chinese English teachers |
Lianri

Lianri is about 8 km East of Chengdu (35mins from center) in a scenic area called Longquan (dragon springs). They have a part-time foreign teacher once a week and 2 Chinese English teachers. |
Aoyuan

Aoyuan is in a medium sized town East of Chengdu called Wenjiang (about 45 mins from Chengdu center). They have a part-time foreign teacher once a week and 2 Chinese English teachers. |
Zhonghai International |
Zhonghai International is about 7km West of Chengdu (25-35 mins from center) in a new and very pleasant residential area. They have 1 foreign teacher and 2 Chinese English teachers |
Longjiang Road Primary |
Longjiang road primary is one of the most elite primary schools in Sichuan. They have 2 foreign English teachers and 5 Chinese English teachers. |
English School |
The English training school is located in the south of town. They teach English to kindergarten primary students at evenings and weekends. Currently they have 4 foreign teachers. |
